Orchid Daze - Atlanta Botanical Garden

The cultural event to add to your calendar is "Orchid Daze." From January 26 - March 30, 2008 Living Species orchids along with colorful hybrid orchids are placed among rare and valuable antiques, garden accents, gargoyles, antique gates, and statuary at the Atlanta Botanical Garden.

Street Life: American Photographs at the High Museum

Street Life: American Photographs from the 1960s and 1970s - will be on display at The High Museum of Art from Dec. 22-April 20. This collection will feature documentary photographs by Garry Winogrand, Susan Meiselas, Danny Lyon, and Dennis Carlyle Darling, taken between 1963 and 1976. The exhibition consists of three photo essays: "Women Are Beautiful," "Carnival Strippers," and "The Bikeriders," which explore distinctive fringes of mainstream American culture.
